Good Neighbors Mongolia is seeking a full-time specialist to join our Project Development Team. The specialist will be responsible for the following duties:

• Collaborate with other teams/divisions to develop, write, and revise proposal documents according to donor requirements.
• Track funding opportunities and work proactively for effective prepositioning and funding acquisition with donors and partners.
• Analyze the funding landscape to recommend opportunities for prepositioning concepts.
• Revise and recommend approval of internal projects.
• Monitor and oversee the reporting process of internal projects.
• Planning and implementing climate action initiatives under the Environment program, utilizing available resources, ensuring effective delivery, and handling all logistical and administrative tasks.
• Monitoring and reporting the program activities promptly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements and skills:

• Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. international or development studies; social science disciplines; etc)
• Minimum two years experience in international and/or non-governmental organizations, or closely related fields is required.
• Prior experience in project management, grant acquisition, and/or proposal writing is desirable.
• Experience in climate action initiatives is an asset.
• Fluency in both English and Mongolian is required.
• Experience in developing project proposals in various sectors, including child protection, health, education, WASH, and community participation.
• Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant opportunities and trends in the development sector.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in project management, particularly with government and multilateral agency grant-funded projects.
• Outstanding communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in teams as well as independently.
• Proficiency in handling administrative tasks as needed.
• Good analytical, negotiating, and time management skills, along with strong proofreading skills and attention to detail, are required
