Geres, Acting for Climate Solidarity, is a French non-profit NGO created in 1976 after the first Oil Shock. Today, more than 150 staffs work on innovative and sustainable development projects in France and in 12 developing countries. Environmental conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, reducing energy poverty, and improving livelihood of the poor are the main focus areas for Geres. The Geres team is particularly involved in the implementation of engineering solutions for development and providing specific technical expertise. Activities include conducting energy efficiency programs, providing decentralised energy services for local economic development, supporting and developing renewable energies. These activities are always implemented in partnership with local stakeholders and communities on the basis of collaborative experience sharing. Geres Central Asia currently works on the following topics: Introduction of bioclimatic solutions through passive solar energy and energy efficiency techniques for domestic housing and public buildings. Income generating activities development in agriculture (counter-season greenhouse cultivation, crop selling staggering with small scale storage) Innovative technical solution development (heating stove, cooking stove…) Since 2010, Geres has supported the vegetable sector in Mongolia, relying on affordable and locally adapted production and preservation technologies. Beyond the earlier Geres implements nowadays also a comprehensive program based on organic and farm-to-fork approaches which scope the whole vegetables value chain and its enabling environment in Arkhangai and in Khentii. Until 2022, Geres was also leading the global CEMAATERR CEMAATERR: Climate – Energy: Measure of Adaptation and Mitigation on Rural Territories  

Background   1. About Geres, in Mongolia   Geres INGO, established in 1976, is a specialized international non-governmental organization working in the field of energy and sustainable development in countries of Europe, Africa, and Asia. In Mongolia, it has been running since 2010 with the purpose of improving people’s ability to cope and adapt with climate change and creating energy efficiency.   2. About “Switch off air pollution II”    “SOAP II” project has been implemented since May 2022 with funding from “Switch Asia II” the European Union, by leading implementer Geres INGO and implementing partners, Mongolian National Construction Association NGO (MNCA), Building Energy Efficiency Center (BEEC) of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Mongolian Green Financing Corporation (MGFC), and Mongolian Women’s Fund (Mones). The project aims to increase the energy efficiency of private detached houses, and reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by developing accessible and suitable solutions to introduce resource-saving and low-polluting practices in the Mongolian construction industry. This will improve the air quality in urban areas, have a positive impact on the society, health and economy of households and support sustainable consumption and production.   3. About   Within the framework of the "SOAP I" project, in order to regulate the flow of information between the implementers, brigades, and users, to transfer the documentation of the quality control process of insulation work to electronic format, to save time, and to effectively manage and store project information and databases in a consolidated way, web system from all aspects, and if necessary, to meet with the project implementers and stakeholders and determine their roles, activities, needs and requirements Organize meetings as needed, including the current progress of the web system and mobile application development, problems encountered and additional tasks that may arise Provide Geres with information about the progress of web system and mobile application development at any time Send a brief report according to the workplan developed with the Web developer company to Geres once in two weeks Ensure the fulfillment of work tasks and receive and transfer to Geres a web system and mobile application with fully functional comprehensive manuals and source code information   For more details, see Annex 1   Payment term         10% of the service fee after both parties signing the contract and approval of the work plan 18% of the service fee after the 1st group task of web system development is complete 18% of the service fee after the 2nd and 3rd group tasks of web system development is complete 18% of the service fee after the 4th group task of web system development is complete 36% of the service fee after the 5th group task is complete and upon delivery of the completion of all tasks specified in the Web System Development Terms of Reference and acceptance by the Client     Contract term   It will start on October 07, 2024, and will be completed in 4 months.
