Your duty is to ensure preparation and implementation (receiving /authoring the IPC -Interim Payment Certificate documents) for IPC or preparing and reviewing financial and operational computation of construction works, in compliance with specifications, guides, standards and practices of the Underground water wells and Conveyance Construction Project. Roles and responsibilities are : Produce deliverables (deliverables list in the MISSION §) using your technical knowledge, obtained either through internal training or your past professional experience. Review the contract: Before preparing the IPC, review the construction contracts so as to understand the payment terms and conditions, the schedule of payments, and the scope of work. Measure the progress: Measure the progress of the work completed to date, this can be based on a percentage of work completed or the value of materials and equipment used on the project. Calculate the amount due: Based on the progress measurement, calculate the amount due to the contractor for the work completed. Review variations: Review any variations or changes made to the original contract, which can affect the amount due to the contractor. These may include changes in the scope of work or additional work required or variation in prices of construction materials. Deduct retention: Deduct any retention amounts held by the client or owner of the project as per the contract terms. Prepare the IPC: Use the format specified in the contract or standard format, and include a detailed breakdown of the work completed, the progress measurement, any variations or changes, the retention amounts, and the total amount due. Submit for certification: Submit the IPC to the project consultant or engineer and MCA for certification and approval. Follow up the payments: Once the IPC is certified and approved, receive the original invoices and follow up the payments to the contractors according to the payment terms and conditions outlined in the contract. Preparing progress report Recording the construction work progress made to ensure that the project is proceeding according to the plan and the work is completed on time and reporting it to the Construction Manager Preparing general reports Preparing RFI (request for inspection) Preparing (RFI) document on time when requested from managers with the key information and project variables. Preparing MRI (request for inspection) Other duties assigned by direct management.
